General Club Information
Hi Team,
Weather has been a major feature over the past couple of weeks with the Macauly trip postponed. This has been resceduled to this coming weekend the 8th and 9th of November. Chris was able to organise a short notice overnight trip up to the Ahuriri base hut. A large fire was made and snow was on the ground the next morning however no trip report was completed so details are limited. They came home via Thompsons track and Danseys pass. This was a great example of short notice planning when track conditions do not allow planned trips to go ahead.
As mentioned last month the commitee are currently looking into better ways to send out trip information and how you respond about your intentions to attend a trip so watch this space. Until then its a group text as per normal.
I will list the known trips coming up below with dates and I will publish the trip sheet for the trip happening in the coming month. If you want information about future trips then visit our club wedsite for trip information sheets and other information. Feel free to look through previous trip reports, photos and newsletters while you are there and if there is a trip of interest that you think we should do then make some noise and see if it can be done. Remember we have new members joining all the time and old trips are new trips for them.
Anyway, heres what is coming up :-)
- New dates due to postponment. November 8th and 9th Macauly river overnight trip. (overnight option)
- November trip. Omatapio Station has been cancelled.

As mentioned in the last meeting a special thank you to Harry for the massive task of getting this over the line.
